W. Madison Grace II is a believer in Jesus Christ, the proud husband of Shareen, and the father of three wonderful boys. He works at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he serves as Associate Professor of Baptist Heritage. He attends First Baptist Church Burleson, Texas where he and his family are members.
Madison was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, but his family soon moved to south Florida where he grew up. After graduating high school he moved to back to Missisippi where he graduated in 2002 with a BA in Christian Studies from Mississippi College in Clinton. While in college he felt called into full-time, vocational ministry and after graduation moved to Fort Worth, Texas attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages in 2006. He continued to study at Southwestern and earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Systematic Theology in 2012 with a dissertation titled, “The Church as Place in Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Theology.”
Madison has served in a variety of ministry positions at churches in Mississippi and Texas where he was involved in children, youth, educational, and pastoral ministries. His current position continues this ministerial work as he gladly teaches pastoral students week in and week out.
